1. Valves are mainly divided into globe valves, ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, plug valves, etc. After the valve is installed and in use, grease or molybdenum disulfide must be applied to the threads of the valve stem and bolts, which can provide a good lubrication effect. At the same time, it can also isolate the acid-base environment and act as a protective layer.
2. Keep the valve clean, especially for outdoor valves. If necessary, add valve and flange protective covers.
3. Do not use brute force when opening and closing the valve, even if you use an afterburner, you can't use excessive force. For example, using too much force can easily damage the sealing gasket on the valve head of the stop valve.
4. The matching of the valve must be matched, for example, the handwheel and the valve must be matched, otherwise the upper part of the valve stem will easily be rounded and slippery.
5. Do not place heavy objects or step on the valve.
6. There is leakage in the valve body, which should be dealt with according to the leakage point. For example, if the packing position of the shut-off valve is leaking, the packing gland bolt can be adjusted appropriately, and the two sides can be balanced.
General daily maintenance, if there is a problem in that part, you can prescribe the right medicine without a big dismantling. Sometimes it is necessary to replace parts or seals or reinject grease, etc., usually clean and fill it with lubricant on time, which can prolong its service life and prevent sun and rain.
